Orf 1 Live (Austria)

ORF 1 live is the first public television channel in Austria. It began its broadcasts on August 1, 1955, when the Österreichischer Rundfunk was created. Three years later, regular service would begin. It has a program for all audiences and is available throughout the national territory.

It is maintained through the income obtained from advertising and the payment of a license by viewers. Initially, it broadcast by satellite with the encoded signal, but since 2006 it also broadcasts on the DVB-T.
