Sat 1 Live (Germany)

Sat.1 is a private television channel in Germany, broadcasting free-to-air nationwide. It belongs to the ProSiebenSat group.1 Media, which also manages the ProSieben, Kabel eins, and Sixx channels.

The channel started its broadcasts on January 1, 1984, as PKS, through satellite television. When it premiered, it became the first private television to broadcast on the German market. There are versions of Sat.1 for Austria and Switzerland, which have their own programs.
