Russian Music TV Channel RU.TV was founded by Sergey Kozhevnikov and is owned by the Russian Media Group. It began broadcasting as Russkoye Radio's video version in October 2006.
January 2017 saw RU.TV switches to 16:9 and begin broadcasting HDTV. RU.TV broadcasts on analog frequencies in several Russian cities, including Domodedovo and Kaspiysk as well as Kyzyl, Permsk, Kyzylsk, Kyzylsk, Simferopol, Makhachkala, Domodedovo, and Kaspiysk. It is permitted to continue carrying commercials, even though they were banned from broadcast television in 2015.
ER-Telecom is the Russian operator of RU.TV. It was first broadcast on Akado in 2009. Then, it moved to National Cable Networks a year later. This put RU.TV in Moscow on Mostelekom. Later, it was made available online. The channel was first carried out by MTS in 2012.
RU.TV can be accessed on the Yamal 201 satellite and ABS-2A satellites. Transcripted transmissions are available through Eutelsat 36 on Tricolor TV, NTV Plus, Hot Bird and Hispasat 1E.
